Degree Level Curricula

The College imparts education in the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Science & Computer Science.
 
Faculty of Commerce
 
B. Com. Part I
 
Each student has to choose six subjects out of which four are compulsory and two optional.
 
1) Compulsory Subjects
   
  i) Business Communication – I (English - Compulsory)
   
  ii) Business Economics – I
   
  iii) Financial Accounting
   
  iv) Principles of Business Management
   
2) Optional Subjects
   
One group can be chosen from the following groups.
   
  Group ‘A’
   
  v) Insurance / Business Mathematics
   
  vi) Basic Principles of Marketing
   
  OR
   
  Group ‘B’
   
  vii) Computer Application – I
   
  viii) Computer Application – II
   
 
B. Com. Part II
 
Each student has to choose seven subjects, out of which, five are compulsory and two optional.
 
1) Compulsory Subjects
   
  i) Business Communication – II (English - Compulsory)
   
  ii) Business Economics – II
   
  iii) Corporate Accounting
   
  iv) Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship
   
  v) Environmental Studies
   
2) Optional Subjects
   
One group from the following can be chosen.
   
  Group ‘A’
   
  vi) Business Statistics
   
  vii) Money & Financial System
   
  OR
   
  Group ‘B’
   
  viii) Computer Application Paper – III
   
  ix) Computer Application Paper – IV
   
 
Note: The students who have chosen Group B at B. Com. I level will have to continue with the same group B. Com. II level.
 
B. Com. Part III
 
Each student has to choose four compulsory subjects and one special subject.
 
1) Compulsory Subjects
   
  i) Business Environment
   
  ii) Business Regulatory Frame work.
   
  iii) Modern Management Practice
   
  iv) Co-operative Development
   
2) Optional Subjects
   
One special subject from the following should be chosen. (There will be two papers for each special subject.)
   
  i) Advanced Accountancy
   
  ii) Advanced Costing
   
  iii) Advanced Banking & Financial Institutions
   
  iv) Computer Application
   
Note:
 
1) For Computer Application, as a special subject, it must have been studied at B. Com. I and B. Com. II levels.
 
2) For B. Com. (Computer Application) seats are limited.
