Bharati Vidyapeeth is one of the largest educational organization in the counry. It runs more than 166 educational units of various kinds right from pre-primary schools to P.G. stage and University. The moto of Bharati Vidyapeeth is 'Social Transformation through dynamic education'. Bharati Vidyapeeth, now has become unique academic centre of universal attraction. The nations in the world are inviting Bharati Vidyapeeth to join its hands in their enterprise. The dynamic visionary dedication of our beloved guide Hon'ble Dr. Patangraoji Kadam has a historical contribution in this, Prof. Shivajirao Kadam V.C. is ever innovative in his ideas and approaches their creative support for our academic and social commitments is always inspiring to us. Our Secretary, Hon'ble Vishwajeet Kadam has strong vision of bringing out intellectual awaking to the people of India and creating a man power resources for nation building activities.
Our college was established on 16 sept. 1985 and college is named as Dr. Patangrao Kadam Mahavidyalaya, Sangli. The founder of Bharati Vidyapeeth is Hon'ble Dr. Patangrao Kadam ( sinior cabinet minister, Govt. of Maharashtra). This is only college in the Sangli city which imparts education in all four faculties Arts, Science, Commerce and B.C.S. The college received UGC grants Rs. 1.5 Crores uptill now. It is matter of pleasure & pride to record that the NAAC committee accredited it B++ grade. Besides taking in to account our academic, social cultural & sports achievements the S.V. Kolhapur has declared our college as lead college in the Sangli district. More over we have Govt. of Maharashtra award for our substantial work through N.S.S. The formal principals of this college a dynamic admistrated, Prin. M.S. Sagare, Late Mrs. V. R. Chavan and Prin. D. G. Kanase has a very precious and substancial role in the development of this college.
Our faculty members received 5 minor research projects and one major research projects Rs. 7.5 croes to Prin. S.R. Bamane.
College has Green House project, Language Laboratory, Women's Hostel and COC course including journalism , soil and water analysis.
We have organized 6 National Conferences and publishes no. of research papers June 2009 college conduct the M. Sc. analytical course of 20 seats capacity. |
